ICON Hosts its 6th Annual Geneva Centre for Autism Charity Dinner

News Cover Photo

On April 25th, 2024, ICON Digital hosted its 6th Annual Charity Dinner supporting the Geneva Centre for Autism, helping to raise funds to support their crucial work that provides services and resources to families and individuals with autism. As well as hosting and organizing the event, ICON’s team helped to produce and execute the various creative elements for the dinner. This included the menus & programs, fabric banner stands, cheque signage, sponsorship signage, and an LED videowall installation.

Over the course of the evening, several speakers discussed the importance of the work being done at GCA and shared firsthand experiences, emphasizing the importance of GCA’s efforts in offering support, resources, and the positive influence GCA has had on both individuals and their families.

A grateful parent, having experienced firsthand the incredible support provided by GCA’s work expressed that “The help we received from GCA was a wonderful starting point for us as parents we were educated on ASD we got so many great tools which is why evenings like this are just so important because it really represents a glorious glimpse of what we can do if we come together as a community to improve the lives of neurodiverse individuals”

The evening was an incredible success with influential figures in the community including business leaders, parents, philanthropists, and advocates for autism awareness present. Guests savored a delicious meal, and guests were provided with the opportunity to bid on specialty raffle items with all profits benefiting the GCA. To enhance the evening, guests were treated to an incredible performance by Kal Cheung and Phillippe Escayola.

As a collective, we were able to raise $60,000 with all the proceeds going directly to the Geneva Centre for Autism to continue to offer support and resources to families in Toronto through providing clinical programs and services to individuals and families with ASD. The Geneva Centre aims to promote understanding and acceptance of autism within the community through their work, while also aiming to ensure that all individuals have access to the necessary resources and support to reach their maximum potential.

Thank you to everyone that made the evening exceptional. ICON is already anticipating next year’s event!
