The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020 saw entire cities shut down and global tourism come to a halt – Toronto was no exception. The events and hospitality industry were one that had to find a new way to showcase exhibits to their audience from the comforts of their own home. ICON Media teamed up with the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto to help promote the virtual tour for their latest exhibit featuring woven rugs from 36 leading artists from around the world called the Sanctuary. With the museum closed and ICON’s team adhering to all social distancing guidelines, ICON was able to produce a video helping promote the exhibit once quarantine restrictions loosened and ultimately drive traffic to the museum’s website.
