In September 2022, ICON’s most recent partnership with Dior Beauty showcased our best-in-class fabrication and print capabilities with Dior’s immersive olfactory Pop-Up experience at Yorkdale and Square One Shopping Centres. With both installations completed in one night respectively, ICON’s team worked tirelessly to complete this eye-catching, immersive installation showcasing the new J’adore Parfum d’Eau. Installation began as the mall closed the night before, with finishing touches being added just before the opening hours. While the project overall was an eye-catcher, the true beauty was in its small details such as gold mirrored finishes, white flowers both in and around the pop-up, and a J’adore Dior bike outfitted with the fragrance’s logo. These small elements are what tied together this striking activation and created a beautiful atmosphere for the brand and those who participated in the Dior experience. ICON’s fabrication and large format print teams, worked closely with Dior to execute their vision using a combination of custom acrylic fixtures, vinyl wraps, and chrome mirroring. For the course of eight days total, this 360-degree project was the main attraction for all mall visitors and highlighted just how visually creative ICON can be. The pop-up was visited by thousands of mall guests along with some of Toronto’s premiere influencers and dubbed by local publications like BlogTO as a must-see activation. It is safe to say that the Dior Beauty Pop-Up will be missed, and ICON cannot wait for what comes next with our partnership with Dior.
