As the world managed the COVID-19 pandemic, ICON repurposed its services and facilities to help businesses overcome challenges that the virus has created such as city-wide quarantines, business closures, and social distancing.ICON used its inventory of FDA-approved acrylic to produce thousands of face shields for frontline workers in healthcare, food service, and essential businesses across the country; one retailer in specific was the Hudson’s Bay Company. Along with face shields, ICON manufactured counter guards, floor graphics, disposable waste bins, and graphic inserts to help promote social distancing in their stores across Canada. As the retail industry and the rest of the country re-opens, ICON continues to outfit brick-and-mortar stores with positive branded content and social distancing best practices using a wide variety of large format and commercial print.
