ICON Digital Productions embarked on an ambitious project to celebrate the 2024 Rogers NHL® All-Star weekend. Our mission was not just to herald the return of the NHL All-Star event but to weave the spirit of hockey into the fabric of the city.
In collaboration with the Toronto Maple Leafs, MLSE Foundation, and NHL®, ICON played a pivotal role in revitalizing ball and ice hockey rinks at Alexandra Park, West Mall Rink, and Port Union Community Recreation Centre. Our work involved crafting vibrant, welcoming spaces through custom vinyl graphics and signage, celebrating the investment of over $500,000 into the community. This effort promises to enrich the lives of over 23,000 youth annually, breaking down barriers to play and fostering a deeper connection to the local community and the sport.
At the MLSE Launchpad, ICON overhauled the space with vinyl graphics and fabric banners, infusing it with the energy of the Drewhouse brand. The transformation extended to Scotiabank Arena, where our multiple install teams undertook an extensive five-day installation marathon. We wrapped the interior bowl with fabric banners, executed an exterior graphics makeover with a focus on the jumbotron windows. Utilizing a boom truck, we installed visually striking graphics that welcomed fans with the NHL All-Star spirit before they even entered the arena. A big part of this install was rebranding the Real Sports Apparel shops and the galleria for a complete NHL All-Star takeover. Inside the arena, our team installed fabric banners around the entire inner and upper bowl, creating an immersive environment that encapsulated the energy of the NHL All-Star weekend. Every corner of Scotia bank Arena was given the ICON touch, from apparel shop fronts to the galleria, ensuring attendees walked into a atmosphere that breathed NHL.
