The FIFA World Cup Trophy officially made its first appearance in Canada during the 2022 World Cup Trophy Tour. Partnering with Coca-Cola, the Trophy made its way to all 32 qualified nations and after a long 36-year wait, Canada has made its return to this year’s competition.After arriving at its first stop at Toronto Pearson International Airport, the trophy made its way to BMO Field for exclusive fan activation. Here, ICON Visual worked in collaboration with Salt XC to transform BMO Field into the ultimate soccer fan’s destination. A wide variety of print graphics could be seen throughout the event including vinyl wall murals, DJ booth wraps, custom fabric archways, branded tablecloths, gaming lounge prints, stickers and decals, directional signage, flags, and exterior window graphics.While the event itself was short-lived, fans gathered for an afternoon to take part in history by witnessing the World Cup being unveiled in Canada for the first time. Attendees had the opportunity to grab a photo with the trophy, play FIFA video games in the gaming lounge, and test their football abilities with a series of physical challenges on the pitch at BMO Field.The event was a huge success, and ICON is so proud to have partnered with Coca-Cola to welcome the FIFA World Cup Trophy to Canada and create a space where soccer fans could come see the iconic trophy like never before.
