ICON is proud to have transformed the passenger tunnel at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport into a visually immersive experience through custom Silicone Edge Graphics (SEGs). This installation spans both sides of the tunnel, featuring stunning imagery of Toronto, airport branding, and artwork from local artists, creating a captivating visual journey for travelers.
SEGs were the perfect solution for this project, offering a frameless, high-definition display that seamlessly integrates into the space. Unlike traditional signage, SEGs provide a sleek, fabric-based finish that delivers vibrant, edge-to-edge graphics without bulky frames or visible hardware. The result? A modern, polished aesthetic that enhances the passenger experience from arrival to departure.
Beyond their visual appeal, these SEGs were designed with versatility and sustainability in mind. Each panel can be easily swapped to refresh content, making them an eco-friendly and cost-effective option for evolving brand storytelling. The lightweight fabric construction also minimizes material waste, aligning with the airport’s commitment to sustainability.
ICON managed the entire process from concept to installation, ensuring every detail met the highest quality standards. To avoid disruptions to airport operations, our team executed the installation overnight across two back-to-back nights, seamlessly bringing the project to life without interfering with passenger flow.
This installation at Billy Bishop Airport is a testament to the transformative power of SEGs—not just as signage, but as an immersive branding experience. Through strategic design, precision fabrication, and expert installation, ICON has turned a simple walkway into a dynamic visual statement.
