The National Bank Open is one of Canada’s premier tennis tournaments with roots dating back to the 19th century – making it the third oldest tennis tournament in the world. In August 2023, ICON teamed up with Tennis Canada for a visual grand slam at the National Bank Open! Tasked with sprucing up Sobey's Stadium, ICON aced the signage and vinyl graphics, ensuring every corner was a visual treat.
ICON became an essential thread in this historic tennis event. Our signature signage solutions ensured that the game wasn’t just felt on the court but echoed throughout Sobeys Stadium. Upon entering, guests were greeted by custom mesh scaffolding banners and window vinyl wraps to truly transform the Sobeys Stadium into a tennis oasis. Guests in the VIP Signature Suite received exclusive ICON branding with wall vinyl, fabric frames, and custom acrylic signage and fixtures. We didn’t exclude anyone from the ICON experience - players were treated to a vinyl-wrapped “Player’s Tunnel” to get in the mood right before their big show. Front and center of the venue, ICON created a custom banner to highlight the tournament bracket and updated the winners of each match daily. ICON created an atmosphere that captivated both players and their fans and engraved our mark into tennis history.
The ICON suite at the National Bank Open showcased the synergy between ICON Media & ICON Visual. Floor to ceiling, the suite was lined with custom vinyl wall graphics and table-top signage, and on the digital side, a custom 3-screen LCD display was installed displaying both ICON’s portfolio and live broadcast of the matches; the suite echoing ICON’s ethos and vision of providing All Things Visual.
The National Bank Open in Toronto wasn't just a tennis event but a celebration of the sport, and ICON Visual was honored to elevate this festivity. With a roaring crowd and record-breaking engagement, this collaboration underlined our commitment to enhancing Canada's professional sports landscape. The magic on the court met the magic of it, all thanks to the synergy between Tennis Canada and ICON Visual.
